It’s a shame that we’ve had to make registration tricky (rather than ‘difficult’, I hope) but it’s an unfortunate necessity these days and an essential protection for you, our readers. However, we want to make it as easy for you as possible so below is a step by step guide.

By the way, the most common reason for people not being able to register is that they don’t provide their real email addresses. I suppose they are thinking this will trick the computer or prevent us from passing it on to commercial interests – which we would never do. Sadly, all it means is they don’t get the confirmation email with the link they need to allow them to complete the process.
