I will be short and sweet
We had arranged for some quotes to be raised for aerial repairs, got 2 quotes, we decided to go with the repair quote form company A, not Company B the regular company our Strata manager uses. I approved the Company A quote and attached the quote to an email. whist i was away another owner informs the aerial system was upgraded.
when checking the accounts i discovered the wrong company was used. The problem is approx $1100. the strata manger has admitted it was their fault in an email to me, and said well it worked out for the best because we would have to upgrade the aerials to digital anyway next year.
I got a bunch of owners on my butt all peeved off about it.
So I am wondering, what are my options?
Also, at the request of the owners, i have called and Extra ordinary meeting to discuss the problem and to review the strata managers contract. We did not sign the new contract with them.
