Hi there

I have a question relating to developing a 2 unit strata scheme in NSW. Say i want to knock down my house and instead build a pair of duplexes that are strata-titled (not Torrens titled for council permission purposes). I want the least amount of hassle possible in maintaining the scheme, so exemptions from sinking funds and building insurance would be sought.

How do i build this structure with the two halves being "physically detached" when they'd have to be attached in some capacity, being duplexes and all?

I heard through the grapevine that it's possible if something happens to thegarages in the middle, but i don't know what it is. And would this mean garages are compulsory rather than car ports or just driveways?

Thanks Laugh
