I live in an apartment block in Darlinghurst. There is a space in front of our building that is ideal for a homeless person to occupy and this is what has happened. The ethics of what to do for homeless people aside the Strata Committee does not want to do anything about this man by finding another use for the space he occupies which is common property . Ditto the police and homeless services claim they are powerless to do anything without this chap’s permission. As he spends a lot of time talking to himself this is understandable. I cant help but feel that his presence affects the value of our property and his toilet habits seem to be affecting the nearby gardens.
